the 3˘ Army and Navy issues of 1945 (Scott #934-935).

Distinguished Marines FDC
& SDC
November 10 and 11, 2005
A set of four first day covers and
a set of four second day covers, each franked with
one of the 2005 Distinguished Marines stamps and featuring a multi-color cachet by
local artist Vincent Juchimek. The cancellation depicts a Marine sword and
reads “Semper Fi Station.”

franked with the 2003 Reptiles stamps and feature a cachet designed by club
member and local artist Vincent Juchimek.

Cover
Centennial of Powered Flight
November 9, 2003
The artwork for our SYRAPEX 2003 cachet is a fanciful depiction of a
celebration honoring the Wright Brothers' first powered flight of 1903.
It is several years after the historic event, and the crowd marvels at the
soaring plane as it flies high above the landscape.

This cover celebrates SYRAPEX
1997 and its theme, the sesquicentennial of the first United States postage
stamps.

Onondaga County Bicentennial Cover
July 9, 1994
The five graphics on the cover represent different aspects of Onondaga
County history. The turtle is a symbol of the Iroquois people, the
packet boat represents the canal years, the basket of apples and the barn
remind us of the farms, and the automobile symbolizes the Franklin Auto.

The Syracuse Stamp Club, in conjunction with the Elvis Fans United of
Syracuse, created this extravagantly cacheted cover featuring the 1993 Elvis Presley stamp
and had it serviced at the official first day of issue station in Memphis,
Tennessee.
